How do I get rid of infoatoms?
Somehow I got InfoAtoms on my win 7 PC, and puts ads in my windows frequently. They may have two parts. I just had one appear here when I logged in for a survey. One type covers the window and advertises a product. It goes away in 30 sec, or if you click the X for window close. A second part may belong to it. I get a banner at the bottom of the screen with 3-4 products shown. To the right it says in a big green arrow DEAL. I'm using FireFox.
How do I get rid of this stuff? InfoAtoms has a web site with an uninstall program, but I do not have any idea if it just makes things worse. |

RE: How do I get rid of infoatoms?
It appears to be an Add-On in Firefox. Disabling it and rebooting seems to have done the trick.

Just in case, run a scan with a good online scanner to make sure you don't have any malware that got on your computer along with the InfoAtoms junkware. A couple options:
ESET Online Scanner: http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/ Sophos Virus Removal Tool: http://www.sophos.com/en-us/products/fre...-tool.aspx |
